This biographical drama follows the last night of legendary Broadway lyricist Lorenz Hart's life. During the premiere of the musical Oklahoma, he is at the height of his powers but struggles with his own demons, such as alcoholism and depression. He feels abandoned after his partner Richard Rodgers begins a new collaboration with Oscar Hammerstein.

The ninth joint project by Ethan Hawke and Richard Linklater is an intimate and emotional portrait of one of the greatest lyricists of the 20th century, who struggles with his personal anxieties and failures while watching his former partner flourish. The film offers an in-depth look at the creative process, personal sacrifices, and the price of fame.
