This classic Western tells the story of two robbers, Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid, who, with their gang, carry out a series of daring robberies of trains and banks at the end of the 19th century, using their charm, intelligence and sense of humour. The plot follows their escape from the law and ultimately their decision to settle in Bolivia, where fate catches up with them.

The on-screen chemistry between Newman and Redford makes the film a timeless classic. Newman brings charm and a slightly cynical sense of humour to the character of Butch, while Redford makes Sundance mysterious and charismatic, with a spontaneity and ease that balances the dramatic moments.
