Maxine Walker is an American director who arrives in Paris to shoot a documentary, but her life is turned upside down when she is diagnosed with breast cancer. Her story intertwines with the fates of two other women: Ada, a young model from Sudan seeking to escape her predetermined path, and Angèle, a makeup artist who dreams of something more than a life behind the scenes.

The first feature film to be allowed to shoot in the Chanel studio in Paris, it tells of the vulnerability caused by the conflict between public and private, the drama that takes place behind the spotlight, and the strength that women draw when they combine makeup, style, and their own fears.
